What was the game that turned you into a gamer?
My first gaming console was the Sega Genesis. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 was my first game. Since then I have gamed on every platform I could get my hands on.
What video game charities do you play or volunteer for?
What made you decide to play for charity?
The game I was playing a few years ago, Rift, started doing in game events and prize giveaways for anybody who was participating in Extra Life. I figured I could turn a game I’d be playing anyway, into a force for helping others.
How do you promote your campaigns?
I use Facebook, Twitter, and Twitch to promote my fundraising.
What are some of your most rewarding experiences in gaming for charity?
Being able to meet the kids our fundraising has impacted has truly been the most rewarding part of this. They all have such inspirational stories. Nothing has quite touched my heart, and changed my life, like being able to talk with them and their families.
Is there anything else we should know about you in regards to being a “Big Hearted” Gamer?
Last year I shaved my head bald after reaching a specific fundraising goal.
